Default Charlie Frye: Not a Lock to Start for Browns

Charlie Frye: Not a Lock to Start for Browns

Update: Head coach Romeo Crennel continues to say Frye is not a lock to start for the Browns in 2006, the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Recommendation: Crennel made his comments at Tuesday's coach's breakfast at the NFL's annual meeting. Most other coaches talked as though Frye was a lock to start. General manager Phil Savage's comments seemed to indicate Frye would be the starter, but Crennel still refuses to name Frye or Trent Dilfer as the team's No. 1 quarterback. We will keep you posted.

I don't see how crennel, being as smart of a coach he is to not start frye. That would be stupid
