(Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Tuesday that cornerback Rod Hood has signed his one-year tender offer from the club.
Hood was offered a mid-level tender from the club, meaning the Eagles would have received a first-round pick from the team that signed him if Philadelphia had declined to match the offer.
Hood proved his value last season after the Auburn product posted career highs in tackles (41) and interceptions (three) in 2005. He also started the last six games of the season, filling in for the injured Lito Sheppard.
In addition, Hood returned 38 kickoffs last season with a 23.7 average.
