You know there's a slice of Ken Whisenhunt just yearning for that moment.
It's why the new Arizona Cardinals coach laughs, when in the midst of talking bread-and-butter X's and O's, he is asked which of the talented wide receivers he has inherited has the liveliest arm.
"Q," he says flatly, referring to Pro Bowler Anquan Boldin.
Whisenhunt knows what a weapon like that can mean.
When he coordinated the Pittsburgh Steelers' offense, Whisenhunt sometimes drove opponents crazy by dialing up college quarterback-turned-pro receiver Antwaan Randle El for a big-play option pass at just the right time. Randle El was the first receiver in Super Bowl history to throw a touchdown pass, when his 43-yard, crunchtime strike to Hines Ward iced the Super Bowl XL victory against the Seattle Seahawks.
"I'm just telling you," Whisenhunt injects, "to watch out for Anquan."
