Houston made a big mistake releasing David Carr.it he regressed some last year making some bad decisions but who can blame him when he's been the most sacked QB every year since he came into the league. David Carr has guts to take a lick and keep playing for what was and is still an expansion caliber team. He has never had the full compliment of players around him to be successful much less to stay off his back. Carr is a good QB and he wouldn't he human if he didn't hear footsteps and start to get a little rattled in the pocket. What Houston is forgetting is the no. 1 rule in football - you must protect your QB. Their franchise particularly their offensive line hasn't recovered selecting damaged goods - Tony Boselli in the expansion draft. Also, I know they wish but would never admit that they should have picked Reggie Bush . Despite the mistakes the Texans are steadily improving and Matt Schaub seems capable but no way is he gonna fare any better than David Carrif he gets the same protection. The guy has only started 2 games and on a good team (Atlanta) not a cellar dweller like the Texans. Expect David Carr's career to rebound once he gets a chance to redeem himself. He reminds of the problems Troy Aikman had his rookie season in Dallas expect he's had to endure this for several seasons. The kid has heart and can play, you'll see one day.
