that's used as a reference to end an argument.
pierson's point (as i read it) is that he's tired of the rhetoric that is spewed during post-game press conferences about the bears still having time to get all of their woes corrected, when in reality the games count for real in 14 days, which doesn't leave a lot of time for the bears.
they played lovie and rex grossman's post game press conference on the score yesterday and the replies were so tired and predictable.
