Two players — running back Chris Taylor (knee) and cornerback Roc Alexander (knee) — will be placed on injured reserve, which means they're lost for the season.
Taylor underwent surgery Sunday. Alexander, who underwent major knee surgery last season, suffered a cracked kneecap on the same knee in the morning practice.
"It's going to take Chris from three to six months to recover, but we're confident that he'll be back and have a productive career in this league," coach Gary Kubiak said. "I feel terrible for Roc, too, because he worked hard to come back from last season's injury, and now this."
