The only difference between a keeper and a standard league is that if your league is reactivated for a second or subsequent years, in a keeper league you would get to keep a designated number of players on your roster for the next season. For instance, one of my leagues allowed us to keep 2 guys, so i decided to hold onto Tomlinson and Jones-Drew from my roster.

All the players not kept will go back to the draft pool. At the beginning of the draft, the first two rounds would be the "keeper" rounds. Everyone's picks would be their keeper picks..once the third round starts, the regular draft would begin with the players left.

ESPN does free keeper leagues, and as far as i know, everyone else does too.
