Well, I probably oversimplified it some. But the truth is, in many cities (not just SF) the city governments try to gangster the owners by taxing the **** out of them to help fund their social programs. This is a big thing the libs do because it feeds their agenda of creating a utopia where poor people can sit on their *** and collect welfare from honest, working people like you and me.
But in all honesty, the issues had more to do with infrastratcure problems and the costs to construct AROUND the stadium more so than the politics. I just hate extreme lefties and extreme righties, so forgive me. If Nancy Pelosi and Pat Buchanan had sex, we'd see the birth of one of these:
