Good, back to the national media underestimating the hawks, thats the way i like it, they seem to enjoy that and use it as motivation. And now we dont have the double death wish of the madden cover and super bowl loser curses. As for SF, I think things definitely are looking up for them. Alot of it is going to depend on Alex Smith taking that next step, doesnt matter how great VD and D-jack are if Smith doesnt make the right decisions. Unfortunately it looks like he is on track to improve. I think the biggest question on defense for the 9ers is the front 7. They added Willis and Banta-Cain, but how quickly can they assimilate to a new defense? will regularaly switching from 3-4 to 4-3 be a problem for the players? is the D-line talented enough to allow those new LBs to make plays? But yeah, USA Today is on the bandwagon, thats no good for 9ers fans who wanted to fly under the radar
