Andre Johnson keeps wanting to believe his return date is closer, but he's no longer prepared to make predictions. His sprained knee will make the decision for him.
"When it happened, I thought not needing surgery meant that after just a little rehab I'd be ready to get back out there," the Pro Bowl receiver said. "But it's not like that. It's a learning experience for me, the first time I've been through something like this."
Early projections had him returning for Tennessee next week, but that seems unlikely. A safer bet might be Nov. 18 against New Orleans.
