After two weeks of rest and rehabilitation, Ahman Green's knee isn't cooperating. The 30-year-old running back will spend another week sidelined.

Green, who injured his knee during the season opener, has yet to play in a complete game this season.

This will be the fourth time he is inactive, and Texans coach Gary Kubiak could not say for sure that Green will be healthy enough to play again this season.

"He has not responded over the last couple of weeks to the rest we've given him," Kubiak said. "He came out and did a little (Thursday). His knee swelled this morning. So he will be down. And we will work from there."

Green, who received $6.5 million in guaranteed money, refused to speak to the media after practice Friday. In six games this season, he has 70 carries for 260 yards and two touchdowns.

Against Oakland on Nov. 4, Green only lasted 1½ quarters. His knee swelled so much after his final run he sat the rest of the game.

Ron Dayne took over for Green and rushed for 122 yards in the victory. He will start against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, and his teammates are excited.
