After the Rogers trade, I think we will go into the draft with a different view. Heres what imo should or could happen this offseason and at the draft. Enjoy (oh yea, this is just a sketch with little explanation).

Draft

I had the Roy Williams trade taken off after him saying he wanted to be a Lion for life. Do I believe it...no, but he said it and I'm going to take it for granted.

1st(15th)- Rashard Mendenhall(Illini, RB)- Many say there is no way we take a RB in the first and the Lions seem to show little interest in it but, this is exactly what they did last year, they acted like they were so high on Russell, Thomas, and Adams and imo it tricked Oakland into takeing Russell leaving Calvin to Detroit. Honestly why would you tell people who you wanted to draft unless you had the first overall pick?

***TRADE*** Lions trade a third, 5th, and Shaun Mcdonald to the 49er's for there second.

2nd via 49ers- Jerod Mayo (MLB, Ten)- Detroit tries to get a little higher pick to draft him. He's prolly the best MLB in the draft and there isn't no guarantee that he falls to 15. He becomes an instant starter.


2nd- Calais Campbell/Phillip Merling (DE's Miami, Clemson)- One of these two are going to go in the late first early second and the other will fall to Detroit (if i am correct Detroit gets the 9th pick in the 2nd round).
