I am glad Kiffin didnt get his way.

I see no reason to scrap our defensive scheme in favor of a Tampa 2 2 deep scheme.

Al did the right thing and Kiffin, if he knows what is best for him, will concede. Its no secret that Al runs this organization and always will. I have no problem with it since every time he opens his wallet, we go to a SB. Its when he is cheap that we struggle.

Kiffin was on nobodys radar for a HC spot and if hes smart, he will play along. This is an opportunity for him to show what he can do.

I think the rumors of Kiffin taking a college job are what bothered Al. In every scuffle Al has had, loyalty is at the center of every beef. With Marcus Allen, Al was bothered by the media appearences where Allen moaned about the working conditions and his pay after Al tore up 2 contracts earlier. Then, he joined in on an optional NFLPA lawsuit against the owners. With Shanahan, it was the Rat firing all the old Raiders like Belitnekoff, Willie Brown, and Art Shell. With Gruden, it was the Notre Dame rumors that became a distraction.

Its always about loyalty with Al.

As long as our assistants stay, I could care less if Kiffin bolted.
