Default Giants Draft Review

Damn I feel good. I knew that I wouldn't after what Jerry Reese did last year. Here is a draft review by me Mac West-Poss un-official GM of the New York Giants.

Alright, so all defense in this one except for two picks. I at first was baffled at why we took Kenny Phillips over Brandon Flowers, but the thing that swayed my opinion was his height, weight, age and sophomore highlights. He will replace that joke of a safety James Butler with back there with Sammy Knight. Provides run support and the only downside some can find is that he isn't Ed Reed. Well if that is our only problem, then I'm pretty sure the Giants are in good shape. At 6'2" 214 pounds he will come up and lay the wood on running backs and will finally make the middle of the field no mans land for the Giants.

Our second round pick was a Corner from USC Terrel Thomas. This guy was projected to go later in the draft because he isn't anything more than a nickelback. I don't really see him becoming a solid #1 Corner. But boy is he big, at 6' 218, could move to Safety potentially.

Our Third round pick Wide Reciever Mario Manningham. This kid is fast and has some hands on him. Let's face it Toomer and Plaxico aren't getting any younger. A slow 40 time hurt his stock as did lying about smoking some pot. But those can all be tweaked in the NFL with some positive role models in the lockerroom. He could definitely replace Amani Toomer and possibly Plaxico. He is a deep threat we've need since Sinorice hasn't been up to par.

Our Fourth Round pick, Linebacker Bryan Kehl from BYU. Fast kid, hits hard makes plays. Good in run support and in pass support. Can play ROLB, or LOLB if Mathias moves back to Defensive End this season.

Our Fifth Round Pick, Linebacker Jonathan Goff from Vanderbilt. An ILB hits hard good in run support stacking the weakest position going into the draft, a backup for Antonio Pierce because Chase Blackburn has yet to prove himself.

Our Sixth Round Pick, QB Andre Woodson Kentucky. A backup, Anthony Wright is old, Jared Lorenzen is garbage, and David Carr is garbage. Enough said, was a potential top 5 pick earlier in the College Football season.

Our Sixth Round Pick, DE. I forgot this guys name, that's how irrelevant he's going to be for the Giants.

Also, can I be any happier that we've kept Jeremy Shockey, I think not.
