Pats lose to Miami...Intentional?
The Patriots didn't seem very interested in winning the final game of the season against the Dolphins.
Since the Bengals lost, the Pats could have moved up to the 3rd seed in the AFC with a win. This would have given them a Wild Card game at home vs Pittsburgh followed up by a trip to Denver.
Instead, they played 2nd and 3rd string players in a very win-able game against Miami. The loss landed them a Wildcard matchup against Jacksonville followed up by a trip to the RCA dome against the Colts. They obviously feel this is the easier road, I tend to agree. They have had very good playoff success against the Colts and Jacksonville is a game they should win.
The AFC Championship game will still take place in Indy or Denver assuming one of those teams are still alive.
