Default Xfl

The XFL and the USFL both tried to have football being played in the spring. I loved this idea there was not enough football news going on then and I needed some type of fix. Now the USFL was doing OK untill it tried to go up against the NFL both in signing players and in the courts. The XFL should have done better than they did they started out with some high ratings twice what they expected. But the game they offered just could not keep the fans. Most fans do not like to watch a 10-6 game. I always thought that they should have changed some more of their rules up to make it even more different than the NFL. The AFL has been able to make it because what they offer is high scoring game that is differnt form the NFL.

Here is some of the rules changes that a new start up should look at.

1. Let the WRs move towards the line before the ball is snapped, like in the CFL and AFL.

2. Have the first down be set at the 10's, 25's, 40's on both sides of the feilds.

3. Have it that everyone, even lineman, are able to be pass catcher no matter where they line up.

4. No punting.
