1. Wrong. Edwards had obvious interest to go to the Chiefs, and the Jets didn't want their coach wanting to be somewhere else. Yes, the Jets did have to give him permission to leave, but it wasn't like they fired him...

4. Yes, teams lie, but as stormdriver said, it is entirely different to lie to his players. The next time he goes to give the Chiefs a speech, they will always have it in the back of their minds that he lied to the Jets players.
I'm not saying he is a bad coach at all, but you have your facts mixed up. He did lie to both the media and his players, and basically bailed out on his contract because the Jets are bad...
