Well, they need to do something about it for sure. I think, they need to go to a playoff system at the end of the year. This is where the rankings would come in. Take the top ten or twelve or even eight teams in the country and enter them into a playoff. Numbers one and two could even be seeded with a first round by, kinda like a bonus for finishing so high. Use the playoff games as the bowl games still. Basketball takes a month or so of tournaments, and all the other NCAA divisions have playoffs except Division I-A. I think that is the only true way to get an undisputed National Champion. Yes, I think it's better than it used to be, but they've got a long way to go yet. Also, I think they shouldn't rank the teams until they are three to five games into the season. That's why Auburn and VA Tech got screwed last year. Utah as well. All three of those teams would've beaten Oklahoma last year...hands down. But, they all started the season either ranked out of the top twenty-five or very low in the top twenty-five. I watched Va Tech and USC play the first game last year, and could not believe Va Tech was not ranked in the top twenty five. But, in spite of all that, I really love college football.
