CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Marion Dukes is proud of Clemson's accomplishments and believes the Tigers seniors will be remembered as much for what the team achieves the next few years instead of what it missed out on this season.
Dukes, Clemson's senior right tackle, thinks the upper classmen have left a legacy of success that will carry the program to higher levels in the future even though in ``the win and losses column, it might not look like it.''
Particularly this fall, when Clemson started 7-1, rose to No. 10 in the country and marked itself as an Atlantic Coast Conference championship favorite the first two months of the season.
But the Tigers (8-4) dropped three out of their final four. They'll finish the season in the Music City Bowl against Kentucky on Dec. 29.
While every player had ACC title aspirations, Dukes says they can hold their heads high about what they've built - and what's ahead for Clemson.
Dukes expects the younger players to return with a hungry attitude ``and they'll what we had last year and work off of that and hopefully have a better season.''
Nathan Bennett, a senior who plays alongside Dukes, said his class had to establish a work ethic that was not as prevalent when he came to Clemson in 2002.
