Default Matt Leinart

Any card fans or anyone give me some insight on what zona fans think about scoring Leinart at number 10?

i think they were very lucky to get him. He should start pretty much right away and should be successful right off the bat.

He won't start right away, but could be called to duty should warner get hurt. He said yesterday that he is looking forward to learning from warner and green and he also said that when he met warner about a month ago, warner said how would love to help him become an NFL QB. I think they are looking more to next year, but he could be pressed into starting this year, should he be needed and he has the mind and ability to do that.

I think Leinart will be right at home playing in arizona. he's used to having two pretty good receivers (smith and jarrett) to throw to, and he will be in that situation again with the cardinals (boldin and fitzgerald). also, he goes from having reggie bush behind him to having edge, so nothing lost there, either. if the O line can give him some protection, and pope develops as a quality TE, leinart is in a position to put up some good stats when he takes the reigns.

I think that each of the top three went to the exact right place, cutler has time to develop in Denver, lienert goes to the soon to be explosive offense is arizona and also gets time and young gets all the time in the world to develop just like mcnair did in Houston (Oilers) then tennessee

The only place he would have been better off is in Dallas, because he loves the limelight. Arizona won't give him the star power, but he has all the weapons to succeed as soon as he gets on the field. I don't know how well he fits Green's scheme but he will flourish if he lets the guys around him make him look good.

lienert's a smartguy that comes from a pro style offense which will help him alot. He is used to have some players around him. Dallas doesn't have the stars that Arizona has (did I really say that?) and I think that Arizona is the prefect spot for him, but I see your points.

I can't think of a better place for Leinart. His coach is Denny Green a former PAC-10 coach who knows that style of offense. He has a load of weapons including Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald. He will have help in the run game. His teammate Duece Lutui is also comin to Arizona with him. He has a great mentor in Kurt Warner who is the former MVP. Arizona was the best stop for Leinart.
