Two players who joined the Cardinals as free agents last year could be departing in the coming days if they refuse to take pay cuts, according to one report, which was confirmed by one player's agent.
Nose tackle Kendrick Clancy and offensive guard Milford Brown, who signed on the same day last year and started for most of the 2006 season, have been asked to accept salary cuts, according to profootballtalk.com, which cited an anonymous source. If the players refuse, they'll be released.
Clancy's agent, Ron Del Duca, confirmed that his client was informed of the situation by coach Ken Whisenhunt. Clancy, who is due to make $1.5 million in salary this year, has refused and expects to be released soon.
