Default Cardinals notebook: Leinart has new attitude this year

Cardinals notebook: Leinart has new attitude this year | EastValleyTribune.com

excerpt:

FLAGSTAFF - One year ago, Matt Leinart arrived here just in time to turn around and head back to the Valley, then on to an exhibition game in New England.
“One night,” Leinart said of his initial stay.

That was when he and the Cardinals were working out his long-term contract.

Now, he comes back for a whole camp. And thanks to the decision to start him in mid-season, he has extensive game experience in hand, too.

“My attitude is so much different,” said Leinart, who said he can sense that teammates and coaches are confident in him.

“They know what I can do. All that experience last year helped me tremendously for this season. I still have a lot to learn, especially with the new offense.

“But I felt totally different. I feel more in command. I feel more of a leader. I feel I can speak up. It’s a totally different vibe. … Now, I know what to expect.”

I keep going back and forth on how I think he will do this year. He has the weapons to put up a lot of big numbers. However, the coach Whinshut(sp) seems to like more of a running game. That could have been because of Cowher much like BP and Sean Payton.

The things he did with Randel El and Ward, he has a good vertical pass system in his offense that those WR's should exploit.

With all the weapons he has he should be drooling, heck I would be drooling. Putting up some big number is no easy task but with the WR's and RB it helps out. But what has always scared me is the line, hopefully they will give him time.

if Leinart doesn't have much time to throw, he can just get it to Boldin and let him run over 9 defenders lol..Honestly though, I see Leinart having a hell of a year. I think he might even do better than Cutler..

He will do better then cutler in my opinion. Like you said SS Boldin literally could take on the whole defense and still break free. Plus Fitz is a burner also and Leinart has a good deep ball to it to him.
