Even after the Cardinals sign their drafted rookies some time this summer, they should have enough salary-cap space remaining to extend the contracts of some key veterans.

But identifying those veterans will be the challenge.

"We're going to be focused on where we want to spend that money," said Rod Graves, vice president of football operations. "Do we want to maintain some of those guys? We may address a handful of guys over the course of the year."
