Honestly the Cardinals could of survived without Leinart. Sure it would of been a wasted pick but it'd be no different than picking a bust but without the money.

Now do you really think Leinart wanted to go from the #1 pick in 05 if he declared to a 2nd rounder? I mean he already lost out on $10 Mil guaranteed by staying another year. If he held out he could of easily lost another $10 Million guaranteed. Now I don't know how rich his family is but $20 million guaranteed is a lot of money to just toss away, and obviously money was important to him since Condon was his agent.

So the downfall for Leinart was a lot more than it was for the Cardinals.

But everything worked out, hopefully Leinart ends up having a good career in Arizona.

Not a Leinart fan in the least, but he's PERFECT for Arizona's system. I thought he'd be an NFL bust, but he's in the perfect situation. Think about it... two recievers who don't have elite speed, so they won't be burning anyone deep and have to accept passes from Leinart's noodly arm. Leinart is VERY accurate within 25 yards, and Boldin and Fitz are more physical anyways. Throw in the 6'7" Leonard Pope for the redzone threat, and you've got one helluva QB. At least system wise.

Dont forget that he also has a great RB in edge to take the pressure off

Key to his career is if they'll ever address the offensive line...

Fitzgerald and Boldin arent exactly slow, they may not be Santana Moss or Steve Smith fast but they can move.

They won't burn you deep much. And if they did, Leinart couldn't get 'em the ball.

They're more effective getting YAC on short-medium routes. That's all Leinart can throw.
