Warner to Stay
Cardinals have announced Kurt Warner will continue to be their starting QB, and have signed him to a 3-year extension. I will say he's still a very good player, but obviously not the only thing the Cards need. Maybe they can get a nice RB in the near future...

I think he helps though...over the years they have not really had a consistent QB and at least this gives them a bit of stability there and now they can focuse on the OL and RB...I like the move by them.

That's what I'm saying. It's a foundation they can build on..

I like Denny Green as a coach, I think this could be a pretty good year for him if he gets a couple key pieces together, especially in that terrible division.

I'd love to believe that myself, but I already beleved it last year and the year before that. I will now believe it when I see it, even though I do agree the potential is there.

he is a decent player, but he is't worth the 18 million they gave him. he is getting on in years and hasn't really been good for like five years.

Kurt Warner and Aaron Brooks each looked a lot better standing behind lines that included Kyle Turley. When Kyle got traded to the Rams, the Saints sucked and the Rams went to the SB. When Kyle retired, the Rams started going downhill. Warner is great, so long as he has an O-Line that will give him the time he needs. That's something he's been lacking in Arizona. If they fix the O-Line and get a RB that can run, they'll start scoring points here and there. If they can improve the defense as well, they'll start winning games.

any QB can win games when they have a good O-Line and a good RB. Warner is 34 years old. he is to old to start building a team around, but i will admit he was a good pickup by the Cards. However, by giving him a three year extension he will be with the team until he is 37 and that is not a good move.

Yeah but you know how football contracts are, he could be gone after this year if he's that bad. I'm sure his deal is back loaded money wise and he's more then likely making average QB money this year, it's probably just a 1 year deal in disguise anyhow.
I just liked the deal because it gave them some stability at the position and if they can protect a bit better with the WR's they have they should be able to at least move the ball...now as far as running or stopping people from moving the ball that's a different story....but they have a good kicker LOL
