I think Atlanta should trade Vick for a nice running back. Somebody like McAllister from the Saints or somebody like that. They would still have Schaub and Shockley at QB. I honestly think they would be a whole better team without Vick.

I absolutely disagree, first of all the obvious money gained by vick. I know many non-falcon fans who watch the game just 2 see him, he exciting to watch and reeling in dough for the franchise. Secondly he was not 100% last season, which he is supposed to be this year. Dont get me wrong his throwing arm needs to be better, butt i believe the falcons can easily make it to the playoffs with their beefed up defense and vick as qb.

that is why the falcons are in trouble, because first on your list is money and not winning, the dude is completely innacurate and if he hasn't learned by now, then he won't learn. Also, he wasn't completely healthy last year because of the style of game he plays. That will only open it up for him to get hurt again. Plus with the comment about he is going to be like he used to and run more and create plays, the only thing he will ievitably create is an addition to the injured list.

To be great, Vick doesn't have to be a "pocket passer". He just needs to learn to make 3-4 reads and then run, he makes 1-2 reads then tries to make plays with his legs and that doesn't work in the NFL for long.

Look at any good scrambling QB, Young, Elway, Tarkenton, hell even Brooks, McNabb and C-pep, they all look to pass first then run when it breaks down. Vick looks to pass or run from the snap, he should want to pass, then progress to the run.
