Vick
Wow, Mike Vick is such an impressive player. He showed it again in last night's Monday Night Football game. My main question about him, is how long before he has a serious, possibly career ending injury. Being a scrambling quarterback, he is very likely to get hit hard, and often, as seen with the huge hit to his ribs last night. I don't think you can tell Vick to stop running, because it eliminates a major part of what makes him good, but is he asking for a major injury? I think it is just a matter of time before he gets hurt. Its ashame, but there is no way around it. With that style of play, he has to be tough, which he is, but I think he also has to learn when to run out of bounds, instead of taking the hit and gaining two extra yards.

A lot of people are saying that he needs to run less for that very reason, but to me that's a waste of talent. To me, he should be the standard, and other quarterbacks in the league could learn a lot more from him. You're right about knowing when to avoid getting hit though, it's obvious the team needs his ablities to be successful.

Michael Vick has been gettin by on his run speed his entire career. The guy can't read a defense, and he shows very poor form when throwing from the pocket. His ability to make a play with his legs has covered up his inadequaticies, but he's starting to get exposed. Comments like "I don't watch film, because teams just do something different on defense every week" and " I don't slide, because I'm afraid of getting hurt" show that he lacks a basic understanding of the game. When his knees go, he's done.

Wow, I actually never heard any of these quotes, but I knew he wasn't the most knowledgable in just general football knowledge. It just makes you wonder how good someone like Peyton Manning, who obviously has a lot of football knowledge, would be if he had the raw skills that Vick has. Having the skills is only half the battle...you have to be able to use them as well.

i agree, i would want someone that is going to throw for 20+ TDs a season not rush for 1000 yards.
