What do you guys think about this....???
All over boards and on Atlantas newpaper website- AJC.com people are saying the game was staged and the Falcons laid down for the Saints. Heres their reasons why they think this:
1. Since the Nfl put so much money into fixing the Superdome they werent gunna let the Saints lose their homecoming game.
2. The game was MNF and the first game in the Superdome since Hurricane Katrina and everyone around the US was for the Saints except Falcon fans and the Falcons assured the win for the Saints.
3. Saints barely beat 2 very bad teams in the Browns 0-3 and the Packers 1-2 in Weeks 1,2 while the Falcons dominated 2 seemingly/supposed to be very good teams in the Panthers and Buccs. But in Week 3 the Saints somehow play like a Championship team and the Falcons play like scrubs.
4. Falcons 1st drive: Third down and Vick fumbles on the bootleg without getting touched and the Saints were supposed to recover it and take it for a TD but the guy accidently kicks it out of bounds. So on fourth down, the Falcons make a big gap in their line so someone can easily come through it and block the punt.
5. The Falcons coaches were showing no emotion/anger/concern on the sidelines after bad plays/drives.
6. Falcons WRs especially the Pro Bowl TE Crumpler couldnt catch a cold. Crumpler drops an easy TD when he was wide open. How?
7. The refs didnt give anything to the Falcons and their WRs were getting mugged all the time after 5 yards. They also made a bad call on roughing the passer on Kerney and Mathis purposely pushed Joe Horn in front of the ref to get the penalty.
8. The Falcons coaches were being way to conservative when trailing by 20 points- Not bringing an pressure on D to try and force a turnover and running the ball in the 4th quarter even though still down by 20.
9. Jim Moras post game conference he said:
Congrats to the Saints.....We were all Saints tonight.
10. Falcons O line not blocking and Vick barely trying to scramble and make plays like he usually does.
11. Warrick Dunn had a tour of the destruction from Katrina be given so that the players would feel sorry for the Saints and N.O. and let them win.
12. Jim Mora had been saying it was going to be a special game because he had N.O. ties and his Dad used to coach for the Saints.
There might have been more, but thats what I could remember. let me know what your guys thoughts on this are.

Not sure what you mean but it wasnt me saying this so I cant really answer that. After reading about it, it does seem kinda suspicious but who knows.

No not you, just in general...players also have a lot riding on this and have the ultimate say in the outcome. Due to bonuses and stuff the players would not take anything like that and it would surley leak out...

One could plug any loosing team into this equation. This is just one persons opinion. Like last years superbowl.
I say the Saints wanted this one more than any other for what the city went through last year and just played their hearts out.
The Hurricane Bowl if you will.

The Saints play inspired football...the Falcons came out flat-they lost.
No conspiracy-the world really did not care who won the game.

first of all, the saints (except in the first quarter of the green bay game) have outplayed every opponent. so for them to barely beat two supposive bad teams is not a great argument. second, there were plenty of pentalites called on both teams. third, the falcon's receivers have never been able to catch. why do you think they run all the time. i will admit crumpler looked bad, but he was facing unexpected shut down coverage all night. the saint's corners and safeties had better timing on vick's passing routes than his own receivers. and last but not least, there is no team that is going to throw a key divisional game this early in the season under any circumstance. the fact is that the falcons got owned. the saints shut down their run and forced them to pass. then after the inevitable three and outs they picked apart their defense and controlled the clock. the falcons simply got beat. yes the saints looked almost to good to be true. you have to remeber that they are a completley different team with a completley different coaching staff. there was no way to judge the success, or lack there of, without seeing them play. right now the saints are proving themselves to be a solid team that is on the rise. when the falcons learn to pass the ball, they might learn how to win games where teams are focused on shutting down the run.

"vick, hit me i'm open" screams the open receiver five yards down the field. "i see you, here it comes" replies vick. "what the **** " replies the crowd, as vick throws the ball ten yards too deep and ten feet too high.

Yea, the reason Vick has only one INT is he's so bad nobody on the field can catch the ball.
