The whole second-chance-after-punishment argument is valid if you ask me. They're being kinda flamboyant about saying it, but that's pretty much the root of what they're saying. They're not being Vick apologists or suggesting he didn't deserve to be punished (although the last comment at the end can be all kinds of misinterpreted).
It makes me think about something else, we really do treat ex-cons like **** in this country. If a guy goes to prison or has a felony on his record, no matter what it's for, everyone will look down on him for the rest of his life and assume he'll always be a ****up because of that and he won't be able to live a normal life. Which isn't fair. It kind of defeats the purpose of rehabilitation and being punished in the first place.
