Atlanta Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall's latest outburst has cost him $50,000, according to team and union sources.
Hall, the Falcons' two-time Pro Bowl cornerback, was fined $100,000 for a blowup on the sideline during a Sept. 23 game against the Carolina Panthers. When he received that fine, Hall was told by the Falcons that they would forgive $50,000 if he behaved himself, according to the sources.
On Oct. 24, Hall was highly critical of the organization for its release of veteran nose tackle Grady Jackson. After those comments, the team decided the $50,000 would not be forgiven.
Petrino met Monday with Hall, trying to sort out their differences over the release of Jackson.
Both said they were ready to move on after getting together privately before practice.
"Obviously, you don't like to see some of those comments made," Petrino said. "I understand part of it, I guess. I certainly had a meeting with DeAngelo and we'll put it behind us and move on."
Hall also said he was ready to put the incident behind him.
"Yeah, that's the game plan," he said.
