Falcons coach Mike Smith added three more assistants to his staff on Tuesday, and retained two assistants from the previous staff.
Keith Armstrong, a former assistant with the Miami Dolphins, was hired as the special teams coordinator. Armstrong replaces Jerry Rosburg, who served one season after working with the Cleveland Browns for the previous six.
Also, the Falcons added Jeff Fish as strength and conditioning coach and Bill Hughan as assistant strength and conditioning coach.
Bill Musgrave was retained as quarterbacks coach and Tom McMahon as assistant special teams coach.
Smith was hired last Thursday to replace Bobby Petrino, who resigned after the 13th game of the season to become the coach at the University of Arkansas.
