Jamal Lewis: Agrees to Three-Year Deal with Baltimore
Jamal Lewis: Agrees to Three-Year Deal with Baltimore
RotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com
Monday, March 13, 2006
Update: The Ravens and Lewis agreed to a three-year deal Monday, ESPN.com reports. Terms of the contract were not available.
Recommendation: Lewis was scheduled to meet with Denver Monday, but came to terms with the Ravens less than 24 hours after Baltimore signed Mike Anderson to a four-year deal. Lewis, who rushed for 906 yards in 2005, thus failing to top the 1,000-yard barrier for the first time in five seasons, is scheduled to have a media conference call Monday afternoon.

I think Baltimore should have went elsewhere for a back. Lewis is not the back that he used to be. They should have let him go. Did you hear anything about how much they paid for him?

big mistake by the Ravens. If they really want a RBBC then they should know Lewis is not the answer.

mac, they did go elsewhere, they signed mike anderson as well. I am truly disappointed as I have jlew in a keeper league as was really hoping he would go to a team that would feature him only.

Mike Anderson: Will Share Carries with Jamal Lewis
RotoWire.com Staff - RotoWire.com
Monday, March 13, 2006
Update: The Ravens and Jamal Lewis agreed to a three-year deal Monday.
Recommendation: Anderson, who signed a four-year deal with the Ravens Sunday night, will likely become Lewis' primary backup and could split time at tailback. Despite turning 33 this coming September, Anderson is a strong short-yardage runner and he provides the team with veteran leadership. Moreover, Anderson can play fullback, a position he played in Denver during the 2003 season. We still expect the Ravens to address running back through the draft.

I don't like either of these moves at all and this puts a nice bullet in them picking a RB at 14 too, you're lucky you didn't put points on that Ellis.

I'm suprised they decided to keep him. But I guess losing Taylor would be the best explanation. With Lewis and Anderson, the Ravens are going to keep their pound the ball mentality. Especially since they're still depending on Boller as of now.

Yeah I do, but that team is hurting on offense, I know they got hutch but they are not intimidating at all.
