Default McGahee won't rush to find rhythm

McGahee won't rush to find rhythm -- baltimoresun.com

The Ravens' rash of penalties in their last preseason game can be called an aberration.

Their struggles in the running game cannot.

In his limited action this preseason, Willis McGahee has not clicked with the offense, gaining 23 yards on 10 carries.

But McGahee and the Ravens expressed no concern over his numbers as they face the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field tonight.

"I'm very pleased with what Willis has done," Ravens coach Brian Billick said. "A back has to get into a rhythm. To expect 150 yards in a quarter is a little hard to fathom."

The running game remains a question mark for the Ravens.

Last season, they finished No. 25 in rushing, their lowest ranking ever.

And McGahee gained a career-low 990 yards for the Buffalo Bills last season.

Redskins. Yeesh. Don't know if they'll gain much there.

redskins line is atrocious, if he doesn't gain yards against that defense, then I will knock him down even further on my lists

What is wrong is not the RB, it is the line.

Very young, they haven't even nailed down the starters yet.

Well, with McGahee last year claiming he was the best back in the league, I'd uhhh, think he'd be able to make anyone look good.

Same typical stuff you hear about Mcgahee. Definitly overated in my opinion.

There isn't anyone in the NFL that doesn't think they are the best at what they do. They are made to think that way.

McGahee never does anything in big games or against good defenses, He has only done well in his career against poor teams, basically if the defense can tackle, then Michael Bennett might as well be running
