Right now its Ed Reed as well. Ray Lewis is still a great LBer from sideline to sideline.
McAlister had a horrible season after having a great 2004. Suggs was quiet as well.
There isn't much question here as to who the best is. Of course it's Ed Reed, no one else on that team even compares to him. On offense or defense. Reed is an elite safety, no one else on the team is even elite.
Ed Reed may be the best defensive player for the Ravens, but Ray Lewis is still the key. As Ray Lewis goes, the Ravens defense also goes. It will be interesting to see how Ray bounces back after an injury-prone 2005.
Its Tough To Answer Based On Careers...will Ed Have The Consistent Longevity That Lewis Has Had? Based On The Here And Now Its Reed. Lewis Is In Decline And Reed Is In His Prime.
Ray Lewis, not only for what he does on the field but also b/c he is the leader of the defense. It must be in the dance, after that the other team's offense is in for a looooong night
