The Last Time

Dec. 11, 2005 at Denver, CO
Broncos 12 - Ravens 10

In their 12-10 victory over Baltimore, the Broncos made more big plays that had a direct impact on the outcome of the game. Denver forced 4 Ravens turnovers, including 3 by QB Kyle Boller (2 INTs and 1 fumble). Broncos K Jason Elam drilled FGs of 47 and 48 yards and Denver made a goal-line stand in the 4th quarter that helped snap a 4-game losing streak to the Ravens. Early in the final period, the Ravens had 1st-and-goal from the Broncos' 5-yard line, but Denver denied them on 4 straight plays. Still, the Broncos gave the Ravens an opportunity to win. In the game's final 6 minutes, Denver both lost a fumble and gave up a 39-yard TD pass from Boller to WR Mark Clayton. But the Broncos were able to run out the clock on their next possession after WR Ashley Lelie picked up a 1st down on a reverse. Boller completed 23 of 39 passes for 251 yards. Both of his INTs came with the Ravens in scoring position. QB Jake Plummer connected with FB Kyle Johnson for a 7-yard score. Ravens K Matt Stover added a 29-yard FG, while Clayton led the team with 7 catches for 105 yards, the most by a rookie in Ravens history.
