Official 2008 Ravens Draft Thread.
With Eighth pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, The Baltimore Ravens select.......
Team Needs
1. QB
2. CB
3. O-line
4. DE
5. WR
In my opinion, the first thing that the Ravens should do is address the QB situation. McNair is old and doesn't have much to offer, Boller is still as inconsistent as ever, and Smith, who has shown promise, is way too young to take over. If we do look to the draft for finding a long term QB, then, at our position, we should look at either Matt Ryan or Brian Brohm. Both QB's who have definite potential and have shown promise on the field.

Im not a fan of this years QB class, especially at the top. IMO Gholston would be the best pick at the top, especially if Suggs walks

Dude, they need a QB and waiting another year is crap, I say they take Ryan or Woodson almost for sure in the first

Personally, I would love to ge ta veteran QB instead of drafting one, I would rather want to draft either a DE or a CB.

This years FA class is terrible at QB. Rex Grossman is the top guy.
Im telling ya, Smith is the way to go. He has the nessesary skills, is mobile, heady, and confidant. He is Romo's black cousin

He's 6 foot. How tall was Steve Young
Not even close to either on. All Blake had was the deep pass, and Akili had was the fact that he was good at Oregon. Smith can read and pick apart a defence. Blake could read a defence than chuck the ball deep and hope that Darney Scott would catch it. No comparison

I say he is alot close to Blake than he is to Steve Young. LOL
we'll see when and if they are going to even play him, I say no way. Often times a new coach comes in and wants to start his own regime with his own players. I think smith gets put aside as Harbaugh tries to put together his team

Their is no comparison either way. Young is an All Time great, you dont compare rookie 5th round picks to All Time greats. And Blake was a completely different QB
Im not saying they will, they probobly wont. Im saying they should. Troy Smith is better than all three of the first round QB's this year
