After reading a blog about the craziness of football fans it got me thinking, I think the people of my fair land take supporting a team to a whole new level.
We all know English football hooliganism is legendary and our passion is often unmatched. For example come derby day (Manchester United Vs Manchester City) everybody takes sides and put it this way you don't want to walk into the wrong pub with the wrong shirt on....
Everyone who follows boxing will have heard about Hatton's fans and our antics.
Even with the NFL my best friend gave me **** about my Steelers (he's a Dolphins fan) and what turned into a friendly discussion almost ended up in a fight.
And yet I hear the NFL fans love this sport and go out to support their teams with the same passion and intensity normally only seen in these lands (the French, Germnas etc don't do this lmao) maybe this is why we can't get enough of the NFL. Despite our differences we can relate to the raw intensity of it all
After all let's be honest baseball is tame as is cricket there's but something special happens at both our versions of football and that's why I can't get enough of either.
We may be crazy and do dumb **** but you guys seem just as good at it as us, so with that in mind next time I go to the football I'll be sure to raise the bar from the guys who burnt McNabb's lawn ;)
