Fans...are we crazy?? Or is it the rest of world?...

Should we rank the "craziness" of fans throughout the sports leagues. Could we???

Alright, on a scale of 1-10. 10 being that nut ball freak completely painted and naked except for a g-string in -30 degree wisconsin weather. 1 being a polo fan in the back row with a cup of tea granting the winning player a polite yet firm nod of approval.

Basketball fans. Meh...a 5. Sure, I get people are passionate and knowledgeable about the game..but they still seem like sane and normal individuals.

Baseball fans. Alright guys, I'll give you an average of 6 with a possible 7 for those guys like Jimmy Fallon in that movie where he played the nutso Sox fan.

Hockey fans. Gotta be an 8. Although the fact that most American hockey fans aren't that into it, if you isolate Canada, you'll get some wacky hardcore guys. It ain't rare for fights to break out over someone saying your team sucks.

Football fans. Alright, you guys get the 9 out of 10. I've only been to one live football game but between the pre-game bbq's, the constant screaming, the addiction to face and body paint, and the sincere adoration and intensity towards the team you support - well, there is nothing like it.

So are we normal? It's funny how we can be having a perfectly normal conversation with our significant other, only to hear in the background of our team getting scored against which immediately fuels a rage that would scare the Hulk! I once swung by arms in the air so fast by a horrible call against my team that I accidentally smacked my girlfriend at the time square in the jaw. It took her an hour explaining to her Dad how it wasn't my fault and to put the shotgun back in the drawer. Let's just say, this wasn't the only girlfriend I lost to sports.

What most women need to understand is that a sports fan is like a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. When wearing the sports face, you should back up...slowly. Just leave a beer by the door. Give 15 minutes at the end of the game for us to cool off, then resume normal living conditions.

Because no matter what level of fan you are...nobody's never not crazy right?!
And that's the final word about that!
