Fred Jackson was very impressive. He looks like he's got good ability to break tackles.

Roscoe Parrish was uncoverable. He made Jason David and Fred Thomas look silly trying to stick him. On the two catches against David, there was a good 5 yards between them after Roscoe cut his route off and turned around.

John McCargo... did he even do anything during the game? For someone who our hopes for stopping the run are hinging on, he was very quiet... running with the 2nd/3rd stringers at the end of the game.

like everyone was saying.. Webster... uggh.

You didn't hear much from Schobel because he wasn't on the field.

Bill Walsh commended Marv on the Trent Edwards pick:

Just weeks before his death, Hall of Fame coach Bill Walsh was on the line touting the Stanford product.

“It's the first time he's done this in all the years I've known him,” Levy said Monday, referring to his friend and former colleague, who died last month. “But he called me and said, 'Marv, you've got yourself one heck of a quarterback.'”

Four weeks into training camp, Edwards is showing signs he'll prove Walsh correct and the Bills astute for drafting him.

Al Wallace is a beast. You guys will love him. I'm shocked he hasn't been signed until now, because he's a starter on most teams in the league, even if he is getting up there age-wise. The guy made plays all over the field in Carolina backing up Peppers & Rucker.

The only reason he was released was because of cap issues, and because Stanley McClover is basically a younger version of him. There were those during his time in Charlotte that suggested he was actually better than Rucker and should have started the last few years, and that it should have been Rucker who was released.

I admit, I wouldn't have been upset to see that happen.
