J.P. Losman(notes), a former No.1 selection of the Buffalo Bills, is leaning toward playing with the Las Vegas entry in the United Football League, according to UFLaccess.com. Apparently, the idea of starting in a new league appeals more to Losman than holding a clipboard in the NFL.

I understand the what he is thinking here. Most of you can recall the XFL, there were some players that were able to play well enough and show off their skills that they were given another chance to play in the NFL. Most teams right now have the player or players they think will be their starting QB so he would not get a chance to start and would only get some time in the preseason to show off what he can do.

Losman had years to show that he can, or can't (as the case may be) play in the NFL. There's a reason he hasn't been signed. He stunk up the joint last year as a backup, admitting he wasn't prepared to play.
