Looks like Carolina will be breezing through the early part of its season until Oct. 15. I know that's some big talk, but the Panthers are a solid, solid team. And being a resident of NC, I have to root for the home team (even though it will hurt to watch them obliterate Minnesota)
Jake Delhomme, Steve Smith, DeShaun Foster. A powerful offense with an equally resolute defense. I expect, again, big, Big, BIG things from Carolina in the NFL 06 season.

Carolina is a good bet to make it to (and lose) the SB this season. Mad Viking, you are probably right on at 12-4. At that, you forgot to mention Keyshawn...

Thank you Stormdriver.
Of the 4 teams that Carolina will lose to will be Baltimore, Philadephia, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. I think Atlanta will pose a challange (especially as an 'Away' game), but I think the Panthers have the stuff to beat them. They are looking very solid right now, just like last season. And yes, agreed, if they make it to the SB, it will be a miracle if they win.

With the NFC still being a weak conference, they definetely have what it takes to get to the Super Bowl. They just have to prove they can get past Seattle if they see them in the playoffs. 12-4 is a good prediction.

I really think they split with tampa this year. also as you stated the away falcons game could be dangerous, but I still have them sweeping them
Not all team wins every game they are supposed to win, and I could see them losing to Washington at wash.
thus, 11-5 or even 10-6, it's plausible

Agreed, the AFC will win the Super Bowl again this year... Seattle has built a hell of a team, actually improving over last year, but there is one critical weakness. With his picture on the Madden cover, and without Hutchison to block for him, Alexander will get seriously injured around week 5 or so. Now, Morris and Strong can still make a decent backfield, and that passing threat (Hasselbeck, Jackson, Burleson, Stevens) speaks for itself, but there are a few other teams in the NFC this year that are serious about winning, and without their star, I don't see Seattle going all that far. It will be Tampa or Carolina losing the SB for the NFC in '07.

I have to agree with you. Right now there are not enough solid teams in the NFC to mount a serious challange to the sheer level of talent out there in the AFC. Carolina and Seattle are about it. Either team has a good shot at making it to the Superbowl... and one they are there, anything can happen.
If this was the early 05 season, I'd put Philly in that list with Carolina and Seattle, but they've had too many problems worth mentioning (cough cough... Terrell Owens... cough cough) to be serious contenders this season (but I have been known to be wrong from time to time).
