Panthers Complaining About Cut Blocks
The Panthers are reportedly complaining this week, after both Julius Peppers and Mike Rucker missed practices this week due to injuries, from which the Panthers are saying came from the Falcons cut blocking last week. They are both out with sprained ankles. The block is legal in the NFL, though the Falcons are primarily the only team that gets criticized for using it. The Panthers would like to see a rule against cut blocking all together, though it is a dominant block used by offensive linemen throughout the league. It has also been brought up in the past, but to no avail in outlawing it.
