This guy is going to have a big-time breakout year. I've been reading reports on him ever since camp started saying he was playing well, but I saw it for myself today at Panthers FanFest in Charlotte. The guy was all over the place making plays during full-contact drills. He's obviously already got good chemistry with Delhomme - on the first drive of the scrimmage, they called 3 pass plays - King caught the first two, including about a 30-yarder that set-up Mike Gaines' TD catch a few plays later.

Mark my words: Jeff King is gonna have a big year. It's about ****ing time the tight end position returned to Carolina

Sorry, but I've never heard of this King guy before. I hope he turns out to be what you expect him to be.

Yes and no. That's the guy, but he's definitely a lot more than a blocking TE. The guy's been making plays all through training camp. With our new O.C. using the TE more, King's the new starter and not just because of his blocking skills.

Not really a prediction - more like an educated hunch. I think the guy's going to have a huge impact this season. Maybe even a surprise Pro Bowl selection. I know I sound like a cazy-*** homer, but I can definitely see this guy making a name for himself this season.
