PANTHERS QUARTERBACK KEEPING OPTIONS OPEN
Testaverde mulls playing in 2008
His workout regimen is the same as in 1994

Carolina Panthers quarterback Vinny Testaverde, 44, hasn't ruled out playing again next season.
Should he put off retirement and start a game at some point in 2008, Testaverde would become the oldest quarterback to do so in NFL history, surpassing Steve DeBerg, who played at 44 years, 279 days in 1998.
Earlier this season, Testaverde said this year was almost certainly his last. But he's having fun and is reconsidering.
"I'd have to look at that," he said. "It depends on when and for how long, that kind of thing. But I'm always open to entertain those kind of thoughts."
Testaverde knows if he were to stay with Carolina, it would be as a backup to Jake Delhomme, who has been sidelined this season by elbow surgery. But he admitted that even a reserve role is tempting.
