It's not as good as you think it is... You aren't missing much, trust me. If, however, you're interested in the CFL, you can watch the games online on TSN (it's the Canadian division of ESPN).

TSN is not a division of ESPN... And with a new tv contract signed here a few days ago, it can only improve.

It's roots are based in ESPN... Up until 2010ish I think, Bell and CTV took it over... At any rate, the removal of ESPN from it can't be seen as anything less then a loss.

It is sort of ESPN'ish, but maybe ESPN is TSN'ish. TSN started in the mid 80's; its been fairly well rooted all on its own. Canuck soil does wonders for growth...

Up until 2001 they were associated, then Bell got involved as did CTV. That's why the emblems are almost the same, as is Sports Center's intro and Sports Desk (a change that happened after 2005). In 2001, it was going to be called ESPN Canada...

As such, there has been a taste for having an NFL team - expansion or relocated - to Toronto, by some business *ahem* leaders and sports fans living in or near Toronto.

Secondly, Buffalo's economic downturn (the last 20 or so years), has put the fear into Bills ownership and city officials, that a new team in Toronto would possibly be the foot on the neck of the Bills and their city (take fans from the Bills, as well as lure other NFL tourists away from attending Bills games : hence, the Bills playing games in Toronto).
Toronto also happens to be the fifth largest city in North America, and money is like magnetism, it always goes to, and attracts still more money, to a larger concentrated mass. Thus, until the NFL can figure what to do, it will keep a log on the fire, so to speak, when it comes to Toronto -either as a leverage tactic to extract concessions out of N.Y state, or as a means of appealing to Toronto business to believe their positive spin of what a team would do economically to the city and province.
MONEY FOR THE TEAM!!!!!!----

DON'T MIND BUFFALO COMING HERE TO PLAY----most fans come to see the visiting team----anyways I PREFER CANADIAN FOOTBALL FOR SOME REASON-(unexplainable)--but am a fan of NFL ---also University football on both sides of the border----
