I can understand this rule to a point but this was down right ridiculous and why did the NFL wait 2 1/2 months after the fact to do anything.

I understand the fine, if im gatorade, im pretty pissed and would let the NFL know about it, so im sure the NFL has to make it clear not to mess with their sponsors.

he can still support gatoraid but hes human what is he going to do not drink anything but gatoraid everywhere he goes what if hes in the mood for a soda or somthing |

Exactly.. pretty stupid... sure the NFL has sponsors.. but do you think they can't get another sponsor? I'm pretty sure they won't have a problem.

Urlacher was on ESPN last night for an interview. I caught some of it. He said VitaminWater offered to pay his $100k, but he declined and he also said the fine is going to UnitedWay in his name. Class guy.

Yes and look at all the free advertising they are getting now from this being plastered all over the news. Well worth it IMO.

I'll play devil's advocate, how hard is it not to wear an unauthorized sponser's hat, he had to know what he was doing, to me that is premeditated. IT IS SILLY and STUPID, but is less than a week's pay to that guy. LOL
