LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The Bears bolstered an already talented secondary during the offseason by signing free agent cornerbacks Ricky Manning Jr. and Dante Wesley from the Carolina Panthers and selecting safety Danieal Manning and cornerback Devin Hester with their first two picks in the draft.
Safety Mike Brown owns the Bears’ all-time record with six career defensive touchdowns.
They join two Pro Bowlers in safety Mike Brown and cornerback Nathan Vasher, veteran cornerback Charles Tillman and safety Chris Harris, a promising second-year pro.
Brown earned his first trip to the Pro Bowl in 2005, registering 89 tackles, one sack and three interceptions. Vasher led the Bears in interceptions for the second straight year, picking off eight passes, two short of Mark Carrier's franchise record set in 1990.
