I think the will groom Orton. Because of how he played last season when Grossman was injured. But another ? arises. The Bears will find someone else to replace Grossman IF/WHEN they cut him. I know this is reaching but then what?

Lovie Smith continues to stick with Grossman. He did happen to play better last game, but Griese continues to perform with the 1st team or 2nd team.

Here's the thing about Lovie Smith. He has proven since he became the head coach that he is not afraid to make change, and will do so and the drop of a hat if he's not happy with someones performance.

I feel that they are giving Grossman every opportunity to work out, but if it doesn't, I guarantee you he won't wait long to go to Griese. If they are sputtering along in week three, you might see a change. I don't expect it to happen, but I feel confident that he will if needed.

Don't forget folks, this isn't Wanne coaching. Wanne talked out both sides of his mouth. Lovie has always been straight forward and I see no reason that he'd change.
