The Bears dropped their second game of the preseason when they fell to the Cardinals 23-16. With the defensive unit being one the most dominant in the league, the offense continues to be a question mark with the new season inching closer. Chicago's offense never got into the end zone until the fourth quarter when backup QB Brian Griese hooked up with rookie RB J.D. Runnels on a 2-yard touchdown with 7:19 to left in the game.
I think we're all too familiar with this. But when are the Bears going to announce Griese as #1???
Has Griese even played with the first team offense? If not then Lovie is completly crazy. I think they have to atleast give Griese a chance to start. If he falls apart then it doesn't matter because it was a preseason game. And if he does great Lovie looks smart and has his new starter.
Griese has been able to perform this preseason with 1st team and 2nd team. Grossman does need more snaps in preseason, but I dont see him lasting longer than week 1.

I think Lovie is going to stick it out and use Griese in dire need type of situations... we have to see how Rex performs on opening day to gague him at all, and the running game has to get it together to give him some space to throw... it'll be and interesting season to say the least.
