Maybe T.O. will answer Bears' prayers
If you look at the Bears' receiving corps and can't figure out what's going on, realize it's not your fault. Any fan middle-aged or younger really doesn't have anything to compare this group against.
Blame it on the quarterbacks, the coordinators or the gods of football, but most observers figure the ideal receiver is a guy who can sprint downfield Willie Gault-style and open up some running lanes for Walter Payton.

The Bears have Mushin and are a run orented team. Sure it would be nice to have a decent number two, but they are a lot better off than some teams.

Word is they might be interested in New England Patriots holdout Deion Branch but are unwilling to surrender the high draft pick or pay the big-money contract to get that done.
|
Unwilling to pay the price has been the Bears biggest hurdle to success.

the bears were saddled with some piss poor coaches who just plain could not develop players, they had a couple of guys they drafted, but the coaches were fools. i.e. wannstadt. I remember Jeff Graham having a couple of insane seasons in chicago, but the bears let him get away and then he was average.

Bears wanting TO is a hypothetical fantasy at best. I personally wouldn't want TO on the Bears if it meant they end up last in their division for the next two years without him.
